Next Training: Performing Under Pressure

Sunday June 7, 2026 at 7pm

Training Goal: To help athletes understand why “choking” happens under pressure and teach them mental performance tools to stay composed, confident, and in control during high-pressure moments.

Athletes will learn:

  • What “choking” actually is and why it’s not a lack of skill

  • How pressure affects their thoughts, body, and performance

  • The difference between performing freely vs. playing not to mess up

  • How to recognize early signs of overthinking and tension

  • Simple, repeatable techniques to reset in the moment (breathing, cue words, focus shifts)

  • How to shift from outcome-based thinking to present-moment execution

  • A new way to view pressure situations

Mental Training

The purpose of virtual mental training sessions is to create a structured space where athletes can learn more about themselves, their habits, triggers, and mindset, while practicing tools that strengthen focus, resilience, and self-awareness. Each session follows a simple format of a mental warm-up, a focused skill lesson, and a cool-down, making it both engaging and practical.

It always seems impossible until it’s done.”

Nelson Mandela

How Does it Work?

Mental Training cost $15 per training, per athlete. Workshops are held virtually on Sundays at 7:00pm-8:15pm. Athletes are encouraged to attend live, however if absent, a recording of the workshop will be provided.

5 or more players will receive a $5 discount of $10 per person. Please email bookings@athleteunbothered.org for an invoice.

Consistent mental training is just as important as physical practice for athletes. Developing focus, confidence, resilience, and self-awareness doesn’t happen overnight, it requires regular, intentional effort. By practicing mental skills consistently, athletes learn to manage pressure, recover from mistakes faster, and perform at their best when it matters most. Just like strength and endurance improve with daily workouts, the mind strengthens with routine exercises, reflection, and application, giving athletes a lasting edge both on and off the field.
