The Evolved Village

These workshops strengthen the athlete's support system, enhancing both their performance and overall mental health.

Here at Athlete Unbothered, we believe that It Takes a Village to Develop an Athlete. If we are developing well-rounded athletes, their village includes the parents, the coaches, the skills trainers, mental coaches, athletic trainers, strength coaches, and nutrition coaches.

As we become a part of an athlete’s village and teach them mental skills including how to self-regulate, and be in control of their thoughts and feelings, it's important for parents and coaches to learn how to better assist their athletes in their development.

You are the core of the village, and your mental and physical health matters as well. We believe in the village and the development of the whole athlete, but we also care about the athlete’s support system, YOU.

The Evolved Village workshops will teach you how to help your athlete manage stress, communicate with your athlete, how your athlete is motivated, and other skills that will benefit you in supporting your athlete mentally and physically.

IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO DEVELOP AN ATHLETE.

Where is the money going?

When Parents and Coaches attend the Evolved Village Workshops, you are investing in an athletes mental and emotional development. Proceeds raised from these workshops will be used to execute events Athlete Unbothered has planned for athletes. All funds go right back into the organization.

Summer Workshops

  • Balancing Support and Independence

    Wednesday 6/25/25 at 7:00-8:00PM

This workshop helps parents understand how to be supportive without overstepping, micromanaging, or unknowingly adding pressure, so your athlete builds confidence, resilience, and motivation from within.

    Why this Topic Matters:

Many well-meaning parents over support, giving constant reminders, pep talks, or pressure, which can unintentionally create anxiety, dependency, or burnout. Others under support, assuming their athlete “should know what to do” or that “mental toughness is up to them.” The sweet spot? Guided independence, where athletes feel trusted, yet not alone.

  • How Your Reactions Shape an Athlete’s Mindset

    Wednesday 7/23/25 at 7:00-8:00PM

This workshop helps parents recognize that their words, body language, and tone can either build an athlete’s confidence and composure, or unintentionally create anxiety, shame, or doubt.

    Why this Topic Matters:

Athletes often look to parents for emotional cues, especially after mistakes, benching, or losses. Parent reactions can either help regulate or escalate emotional responses. Over time, patterns of reactions shape how an athlete talks to themselves in high-pressure moments.

  • Incorporating Mental Training into Daily Routines

    Wednesday 8/27/25 at 7:00-8:00PM

This workshop shows parents how mental training can become part of their athlete’s everyday routines. By creating simple, repeatable habits, parents can help build their athlete’s emotional resilience over time.

    Why this Topic Matters:

Mental training isn’t just for “mental health moments” or pre-game pep talks. It’s like strength training for the mind. When woven into daily routines, it becomes a lifestyle of self-awareness, focus, and emotional resilience. Mental training isn’t a supplement. It’s a skill set, one that must be practiced like any other part of the game.

Want a Workshop for the Parents and/or Coaches of your Team?

Our parent and coach workshops are designed to equip the adults in an athlete’s life with practical tools to support mental performance, emotional resilience, and healthy development. Whether you're part of a school, club, or sports organization, these interactive sessions cover topics like handling pressure, building confidence, managing setbacks, and creating supportive routines at home and in practice. When parents and coaches understand the mental side of the game, they become powerful allies in an athlete’s growth — not just as competitors, but as people. Workshops can be tailored to your team’s needs and delivered in-person or virtually.
